Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) helps families make informed choices about child care by sharing information on child care and child care providers in Delaware County.  CCR&R offers this service to families at no cost and all information gathered to help families with their child care search is kept confidential.

Choosing a child care program is one of the most difficult and important choices a family must
make. Research shows that 75% of brain growth and 85% intellect, personality, and social skills
are developed by age 5, making the early years a critical period for preparing children for school and life. A safe and positive child care sets the stage for healthy growth and development. CCR&R helps families with their search for child care by providing information on different types of child care, child care regulations, group size and ratios, average cost of child care, financial assistance options, tips on questions to ask and things to think about when visiting a child care program.

Free Online Search for Child Care

Delaware Opportunities Inc. Child Care Resource & Referral also shares information on regulated child care providers in Delaware County including contact information, hours of operation, rates, and a brief description of the child care providers environment, training and education.  The information provided by CCR&R is for referral purposes only and is not meant to endorse or recommend.  A licensed program does not ensure quality care.  We encourage you to learn about different child care options and visit several places before making your final child care choice.  Try to stay for at least an hour so that you can watch activities, check the surroundings and ask questions. It is also a good idea to ask the child care program for references and to contact them. Only you can assess whether the quality of care is right for your child. Once you have made contact and visited a specific child care provider, you can check the licensing history and complaint file of the program by calling the CCR&R office at       607-746-1620 or toll free at 1-877-746-2279 or by email at daycare@delawareopportunities.org

CCR&R offers a free online child care referral search.  Login to view or print information about
regulated child care providers in Delaware County by clicking on the link below. If this is your first time using the online referral search you will need to register. Registration is easy!  Click on the link below to get started. You will need to enter your email address, choose a password and enter the information needed to search for child care that best meets your needs. In approximately one week after using the online referral search, you will receive a follow up survey by email asking about your child care search and your feedback on the CCR&R online referral service.  All information gathered is kept confidential.
